Following guidance from the Church of England we are approaching the lifting of Covid restrictions on July 19th with caution.
In our services and concerts, we will restore the roped off pews but will still be encouraging everyone to keep 1m social distance where possible.
We will still be asking everyone to wear masks for the time being.
The best news is that we are allowed to sing! But to stay safe we will only sing carefully whilst wearing masks.
Our primary aim is for everyone to be safe and feel safe.

As a church community across the Benefice, we endeavour to:

- Be an inclusive church which celebrates human diversity and welcomes all.

- Create a space where people can grow in their Christian faith and discover more of the love of God and of the sacred in life, through prayer and worship.

- Can question and explore together, in our joys and struggles, and support one another through mutual care and hospitality.

- Be alert to the needs of our local community and the wider world, and committed to solidarity with those who are marginalised.

- Celebrate life in all its fullness and care for creation.

Glandford is a working village and most of the houses are owned by a Housing Association and leased to local people with children of school age or younger. Only one house is available for holiday letting.

The Church is a much-loved part of the village and is visited by many tourists who are drawn to its beautiful location and beautiful, peaceful interior.

There are just two services a month with a faithful congregation of people from the village, neighbouring parishes and visitors. Members of the congregation also attend other services and activities within the Benefice.

Every summer Glandford Church helps to host the idyllic outdoor Benefice service in the grounds of neighbouring Bayfield Hall followed by a picnic.

The neighbouring Shell Museum was built by Sir Alfred Jodrell to house his collection of shells at the time that he rebuilt the village. The Museum is closely connected with the Church as the Curator, who lives in the adjacent Church House, is also the Church Verger. The Museum is a popular tourist attraction, as is the nearby ford of the River Glaven.

St Andrew's Church has a surprisingly grand interior particularly due to its impressive marble reredos. It has wonderful acoustics and is often used for concerts as well as its popular Christmas Carol Service with a large choir and wonderful organ.

It has been modernised to include a sound system, hearing loop, mini kitchen and ever important loo!

There is a regular ministry, with a monthly Communion, for the residents of the elderly care home at Letheringsett Hall.

The Saxon church of St Margaret, now a ruin, is situated in the grounds of Bayfield Hall. This is the responsibility of Letheringsett PCC and once a year, in the summer, the Benefice hold an open-air Service followed by a picnic in the delightful grounds of the Hall.

Letheringsett village, which is situated on the main road from Fakenham to Holt, has a pub, a working water-driven flour mill with the village shop, a ford across the River Glaven and a Nursing Home.

The newly refurbished village hall is used for a wide variety of activities including for Parish Council and PCC meetings. It has a capacity of 100, has central heating and has recently been modified for disabled access.
